Description:
Alvin Bogart grew up in Paterson, New Jersey before attending the US Naval Academy in 1938.  After receiving his commission, Bogart served on the USS New Mexico in the PTO during World War II.  In 1944, he became an instructor at the Naval Training Center, and later taught at the US Naval Academy.  After the war, Bogart received his MBA and worked as a plant manager, insurance agent, and business instructor.
