Description:
Dennis Dougherty was born in 1846 in Newark, New Jersey, but grew up in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.  He served as an Infantry Platoon Leader in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Following the War, he worked for 40 years as a teacher and retired as a Colonel and the Chief of Staff of the New Jersey Army National Guard.
