Description:
James A. Casey was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1924.  He grew up in Springfield and attended school there.  When he was 18, Casey joined the Army and trained at Fort Bliss, Texas.  He served on a guided missile battalion during Korean War and received many decorations and medals for his service.  After the war, Casey attended Georgetown University on the GI Bill with a degree in Foreign Service and International Transportation. He was the President of Texas Seatrade Corporation in Houston Texas from 1976 until he retired in 2009.
