Description:
Morton Halperin was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1938.  Halperin attended Columbia College and later earned his PhD from Yale University in international relations.   From 1984 to 1992, Halperin worked as the Director of the American Civil Liberties Union  office in Washington, DC. He then went on to work as Senior Advisor for the Open Society Institute.
