Description:
Mr. Ventura grew up on Long Island, NY, and in Neptune, NJ. He served in the US Navy as a fireman onboard the USS Maddox (DD-731) and the USS Barton (DD-722) during the last months of World War II and the occupation period. He studied art on the GI Bill at the Academy of Arts in Newark, NJ, Pratt Institute and the Art Students League. He spent his career as a professional artist and art teacher and was elected as a member of the American Watercolor Society.
