Description:
Dr. Paraskevas was born in Monroe, New York, in 1922, and grew up Roselle. In 1942, he began his World War II service, eventually being trained as a pilot in the US Navy. After his aviation training was complete in 1945, he was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, where he flew numerous airplanes throughout the Pacific until 1946, when he was discharged. Paraskevas would complete his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in 1950, and afterwards, completed his medical training at Georgetown. After receiving his medical degree, Paraskevas practiced as an OB-GYN in New Jersey.Interviewees
