Part 1 - Early Life and Education: Professor Stamato describes her upbringing and education in Northern New Jersey and her years as an undergraduate at Douglass College and a graduate student at Seton Hall and NYU.
Part 2 - Forging a Career in Public Service and Education: Stamato discusses her work as an advocate for public higher education in NJ through the League of Women Voters, the Rutgers Governing Boards and the NJ Board of Higher Education. She also describes her tenure at the Ford Foundation as an advocate for the emerging field of negotiation and conflict resolution.
Part 3 - Stateswoman of Higher Education and Conflict Resolution: Stamato relates her efforts in furthering the development of the field as Co-Director, with Sanford Jaffe, of the Center for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution in the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. She also recalls her days as Acting Dean of Douglass College and her later service on Rutgers University task forces.
