Harry R. Knabe grew up in South Brunswick, New Jersey. After graduating from South Brunswick High School, Mr. Knabe went to Livingston College at Rutgers-New Brunswick from 1989 to 1993.
During his years at Livingston College, Mr. Knabe participated in Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, worked at the Targum and then helped to resurrect the Livingston College Yearbook. Beginning during his sophomore year, he served as a representative on the Livingston College Governing Association (LCGA). He went on to serve as the president of the Livingston College Class of 1993. He majored in sociology and secondary education. During his senior year, he was a part of the Paul Robeson scholars program.
Mr. Knabe attended graduate school at the University of Georgia, where he earned a Master's of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education. He is working on his doctoral degree at George Washington University. Mr. Knabe has spent his career working in residence life at institutions of higher education such as Syracuse University, Temple University and George Washington University.
