Description:

During World War II, Judge Satter served as an antiaircraft and bomb disposal officer on the USS Santa Fe (CL-60) and the USS California (BB-44) during the invasions of Leyte, Guam, Tinian, Saipan, Attu and Kiska. He also participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
