Description:

Warner H. Thurlow grew up in East Orange and Manasquan and was drafted by the US Navy in 1945 where he served on the USS O'Hare.  Before being drafted, he received an agricultural deferment working as a poultry farmer.  After the war Thurlow used the GI Bill to attend Rutgers.  After his undergraduate studies were completed, he worked in agriculture, eventually becoming a Senior County Agent and Professor at Rutgers University.
